Understanding the Recorder: LED Lights and Battery Status
The Recorder uses a series of LEDs to indicate its battery level and current operational state. You can press the main button at any time to wake the lights and check the status. All lights turn off after 30 seconds to preserve battery life.
Battery LED Indicators
The four small LED lights on the face of the Recorder indicate the remaining battery life.

Status Light Meanings
The larger Status Light indicates what the Recorder is currently doing.
- White: Standby (the device is powered on but not recording).
- Green: GRecording (normal operation, good data quality).
- Blue: Bluetooth pairing (the device is searching for your smartphone).
- Yellow: Recording issue (a data quality issue was detected during a session).
- Orange: Recording issue (the device is not recording due to an error).
- Off: Energy Saving Mode or the Recorder is powered off.
Energy Saving Mode
To preserve battery life during a session, the Status Light will turn Green when you start recording and then turn OFF after 30 seconds. This is normal behaviour. The device continues to collect data even when the light is off.
Note: If you see a Yellow or Orange light, please refer to our Troubleshooting Guide for specific error steps.
