Hexoskin Quick Start Guide: Your First Recording Session
Starting-up is a simple process. This guide covers everything from charging your Recorder to syncing your data once your session is complete.
1. Prepare the Recorder
Before your first session, you must ensure the Recorder is fully powered.

Plug in: Connect the Recorder to the provided Micro-USB cable.

Monitor Lights: The battery LEDs will blink during the charging process.

Charge Time: Allow at least 2 hours for a full charge. The Recorder is ready when all 4 LEDs turn solid white.
2. Pair with the Hexoskin App
The app acts as the bridge between your Shirt and your data.

First-Time Pairing: Open the Hexoskin App and follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure the status light on the Recorder is blue. If it is not blue, press and hold the button for 5 seconds, then release.

Subsequent Use: Once paired, the Recorder will connect automatically whenever the App is open and your smartphone is nearby.
3. Start Your Recording
Follow these steps to ensure high-quality data collection.
Step 1: Put on the Shirt

Apply Cream: Apply a pea-sized amount of conductive cream to each bronze patch on the interior of the shirt.

Zip the Shirt: Ensure the zipper tab points downward to lock it in place.

Adjust Fit: Tighten the elastic belts. The shirt should be snug but not uncomfortably tight.
Step 2: Connect the Hardware

Plug In: Unzip the side pocket and attach the Recorder to the shirt connector.

Verify Status: Look for a green light status (this turns off after 30 seconds to save power).

Secure the Device: Place the Recorder in the side pocket with the lights facing away from your body.
4. Stop and Sync Your Data
Once your session is over, follow these steps to save your progress.
Step 1: Disconnect and Undress

Unplug: Remove the Recorder from the side pocket and unplug the connector.

Secure the connector: Tuck the shirt connector back into the pocket and zip it shut.

Remove the Shirt: Loosen the elastic belts and unzip the shirt to remove it.
Step 2: Transfer Your Data

Charge the Recorder: Plug the Recorder into the Micro-USB cable to charge.

Keep Phone Nearby: Keep your smartphone nearby with the Hexoskin app open.

Monitor Data Sync Progress: Navigate to the Record Sync tab under the Data page to monitor progress.
Understanding Sync Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
| Storing | Data is currently being saved to your smartphone. |
| Syncing | Data is uploading to the Hexoskin server. |
| Completed | The upload is finished, and your data is safe. |
| Failed | An error occurred; please contact Hexoskin Support. |
