Care and Washing Instructions for your Shirt

Proper care is essential to maintain the integrity of your Shirt’s internal sensors and wiring. This guide explains how to wash your Shirt safely and lists specific practices that must be avoided to ensure long‑term functionality.

Pre-Wash Preparation

Before you begin cleaning the shirt, make sure the electronic components are protected.

  • Disconnect the Recorder: Remove the Recorder from the side pocket. Always verify that the Recorder is NOT connected to the Shirt.

  • Secure the Connector: Make sure the shirt connector is safely tucked inside the side pocket and close the pocket zipper.

Washing Steps

Follow these steps to clean your shirt without damaging the internal hardware:

  • Use a Wash Bag: Place the shirt inside the provided mesh Wash Bag.
  • Machine Settings: Place the bagged shirt in the washing machine. Select cold water temperature and a "delicate" cycle if possible.
  • Detergent: Use liquid detergent.
  • Drying: Hang the Shirt to air dry. Do not tumble dry.

Critical Care Prohibitions

To avoid permanent damage to the internal wiring and sensors, observe the following Don'ts:

  • Do NOT use Bleach: This will damage the shirt beyond repair.
  • Do NOT use Fabric Softener: This can leave a waxy film on the fabric that may cause skin irritation or sensor interference.
  • Do NOT Handwash: Handwashing involves manual twisting or scrubbing that can damage the internal sensors.
  • Do NOT Iron: High heat from an iron will damage the Shirt's electronic internals.
  • Do NOT Tumble Dry: Excessive heat and agitation from a dryer must be avoided.
